Severe Threat Tonight through Early Tomorrow

Thunderstorms are in the forecast for overnight tonight through early tomorrow, with the possibility of severe weather, reports 13WMAZ's Chief Meteorologist Ben Jones.

TONIGHT - A line of thunderstorms is expected to move into Central Georgia between 10 p.m. and midnight. The line will continue to move southeast through the area overnight. These storms will have the potential to be severe with large hail, high winds and/or isolated tornadoes.

TOMORROW - Thunderstorms will be possible early in the morning ahead of the cold front. Any of the storms could be strong or severe with large hail, strong winds, or isolated tornadoes. Storms should clear the area no later than 10am. Then it will be sunny and breezy with highs in the upper 70s.

Super Bowl Green Bay Packer Josh Gordy Comes Home to be Honored

On Saturday, April 23 the City of Sandersville, Washington Co. Chamber of Commerce and Washington Co. Board of Commissioners held a community celebration for Josh Gordy.

Josh Gordy is a native of Washington County and attended and graduated from Washington County High School.

He was a member of the WCHS Golden Hawks Football team, he is currently playing in the NFL with the SuperBowl XLV Champion Green Bay Packers. 

We had a crowd of about 100 people and Josh signed autographs and took photos with many of his local supports.
