Helton retires after 13 years at OFTC
Oconee Fall Line Technical College recognized the service of Practical Nursing Instructor Angela Helton at a retirement reception on Wednesday, December 10th at the College’s Sandersville Campus. Helton is retiring after 13 years of service with the College.
“Angela Helton is an extraordinary health care provider,” said Erica Harden, OFTC’s Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs. “As a nurse she provided care to thousands of people in Washington County, and she brought that same care, determination, and persistence to serving our students at Oconee Fall Line Technical College.”
“Because of her skill and love of nursing, Angela has been an asset to this community and to OFTC,” said Leslie Thigpen, OFTC’s Division Chair of Allied Health Sciences. “Words cannot express how our students have benefitted from having her as their instructor. She has been a wonderful coworker and a role model for many nurses in the area.”
