RRE Children's Theater Opens to Sold-out Crowd |
Title (Max 100 Characters)
The Ridge Road Elementary School Children’s Theater made its debut August 16 to a sold out crowd of approximately 400 people. The cast consisted of 40 students from Ridge Road Elementary School, two Washington County High School theater students, and three adults from the community. The production was Charlotte’s Web, the classic children’s story by E.B. White, which was adapted by Joseph Robinette.
Director Leia Giddens selected Charlotte’s Web to complement the curriculum at RRE since third graders study the novel in their reading classes and to teach students about caring for one another despite individual differences. “Live theater makes for well-rounded human beings.
