WCHS Lady Hawks Advance to Sweet 16

The Washington County High School Lady Hawks continue to dominate in post-season play defeating South Atlanta Hgh School in Atlanta Feb. 17, 57-54.  Leading scorers were Nia Johnson, Daknequa White, and Nijeria Jordan with 19, 17, and 12 points respectively. They advanced to the Sweet Sixteen and will play Calhoun High School in Calhoun Sat., Feb. 21, at 4:30 weather permitting.

Team members are Shaquetta Williams- #32 Sr.; Daknequa White- #23 Sr.; Aakiyah Harlemon-#11  Sr.; Nia Johnson- #3 Jr.; Jada Chapple- #10 Jr.; Ashlee Dixon-#25 So.; Courtney Johnson- #31 So.; Nijeria Jordan- #13 Fr.; Aniah Poole- #20 So.; Cemyia White- #22 So.; Kerryn Murray- #14 Jr.; Nikayona Warthen- #21 Fr.; and Daavaneek Brookins-#12 Jr. Sug Parker is head coach and Edwina Roberson is assistant coach.
