OFTC to Host Washington County Science Fair

SANDERSVILLE- Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) will once again host the Washington County Science and Engineering Fair on its Sandersville campus on December 5th and 6th.

The annual event is open to all middle and high school students in grades 6th – 12th in Washington County. This includes residents of Washington County that are students at T.J. Elder Middle School, Washington County High School, Brentwood School, and home school students.

An estimated 200 students are expected to enter projects this year that will be reviewed by an expert panel of judges, and winners are invited to participate in the regional fair held in Milledgeville.

Entry forms may be found at www.OFTC.edu/sciencefair and must be submitted online by October 15th. No printed forms will be accepted.

Join OFTC for “Literacy is a Family Affair” Fun Night

SANDERSVILLE –Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s (OFTC) Adult Education department will be hosting a "Literacy is a Family Affair” fun night on Thursday, September 19th for children and their families at the College’s Sandersville campus.

The FREE event will include fun activities like face painting, crafts, storytelling, games, goodies and prizes.

“We are so excited to have children and their families join us,” said OFTC Adult Education Instructor Jennifer Todd. “It will be a lot of fun and a great way for parents to show their children the importance of reading and education.”
