Local Volunteer Firefighters Need Your Vote to Win Grant

Local Volunteer Firefighters Need Your Vote to Win Grant

All-volunteer Deepstep Fire Department in Washington County needs your help.

They're in the running to win a grant contest from State Farm Insurance, but they need your Facebook vote.

The grant would land the fire department new equipment such as a four-wheel drive SUV for first responders and rescue calls. That'd be a $25,000 grant.

Forty out of 200 competitors will win a grant.

This girl is truely LUCKY (thats where we got her name!) to be alive- she was found with a collar embedded very deep in her neck and not in the best of health. With the help of a local vet and some TLC from us shelter workers, she has made a full recovery and is ready for her forever home!
