Crop mob helps out Sandersville farm | News
The Forest Grove Farm in Sandersville received a few extra pairs of hands.
The Crop Mob of Middle Georgia showed up to help with some much needed tasks for the farm.
The Crop Mob Organization is a group of young volunteers that go to different farms and help where it is needed.
Lyle Lansdell, owner of the Forest Grove Farm in Sandersville, has over 600 acres of land to take care of herself.
With the help of the Crop Mob, Lansdell was able to get the various tasks done that she is unable to do all on her own.
Some of the tasks included placing plastic mulch under pecan trees, and transplanting blueberry bushes.
About 10 volunteers showed up to help out, some of which worked on their own farms.
This is the first event for Crob Mob Middle Georgia, but more are being planned.
