Last Day: Register to Vote for the Primaries

Today is the last day to register to vote in the presidential primaries.

If you're not registered to vote, you can register at the registrar's office in the Washington County Courthouse. You can reach the office at 478-552-5239.

City of Sandersville's Holiday Hours

Sandersville City Hall and all non-emergency departments will be closed Dec. 23 and Monday Dec. 26 for the Christmas holidays, the City of Sandersville website says.

For emergency utility sevice, call 478-552-2525 and leave a detailed message. The on-call technician will be notified.

Residential garbage will be picked up on its regular schedule.

You'll put in your first initial, last name, your county and your birthdate to see  your polling place location.

The voting polls are open Tuesday, November 8 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

City Election Early Voting Ends Friday

City Election Early Voting Ends Friday

Early voting in the City election ends on Friday, November 4, 2011. Early voting will be at the Washington County Courthouse in the Registrar's Office.

 That's according to the Sandersville website. Sample Ballots may be viewed at Sandersville City Hall or the Washington County Courthouse.  A General Election for the City of Sandersville will be held on November 8, 2011 for the offices of Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem, Council Member District #1, Council Member District # 2, Council Member District #3 and Council Member District # 4.
