OFTC's Kitchens to attend EAGLE Institute | Schools
OFTC is pleased to announce that Angel Kitchens will be representing Oconee Fall Line Technical College at the EAGLE Leadership Institute March 18-21, 2012, in Atlanta.
The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), through its Office of Adult Education, sponsors the annual Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education (EAGLE) Leadership Institute.
EAGLE is the first statewide program in the nation that recognizes and rewards excellence among students enrolled in adult education programs. This student recognition program is designed to create greater awareness of educational opportunities that are available in local communities across the state and to foster greater involvement in lifelong learning pursuits.
Angel Kitchens has been chosen to represent the Georgia Service Delivery Area (SDA) 54 served by Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC). Angel attends classes at OFTC’s Wilkinson County campus in McIntyre and was nominated by her instructor and OFTC’s Dean of Adult Education Saketha Williams.
Also nominated were Mario Johnson (Washington), Angela Wilkerson (Hancock), Nastassia Daniels-Allen, (Telfair), Brandon Lunsford (Dodge), Danquon Graham (Warren), Barbara Smith (Jefferson County-Wadley), Mary Louise Good (Jefferson County-Louisville), Hannah Martin, (Bleckley), and David Doody (Dodge).
The OFTC Adult Education Program moves students from literacy to work. Classes are available for adults with a variety of needs, backgrounds, and skill levels with day and evening adult education classes, as well as, GED testing to adult students age 16 and older.
