These Boots Were Made For Walking

These Boots Were Made For Walking

OK, I know it’s not exactly boot weather right now (Hello, flip flops!!!), but it is the perfect time of year to make sure your boots will be ready for walking in the fall.

Tall boots have a habit of falling over and if you don’t wear them often you run the risk of getting creases.  You can buy specially made boot shapers that range in price from $5 to $15.  Yikes! If you are boot lover, that can get pricey!

Cut Out the Junk - Mail, That Is

Who would like to get less junk mail in your mailbox? Me, me!! Here are a few ways you can reduce the number of unsolicited credit card offers, catalogs, yellow pages and random of other flotsam that arrives in your mail box daily.

But first a little reminder, that if you have donated to a group or purchased a product from a company, legally they can still send you mail until you specifically tell them not to.  The following options will help with the unsolicited selling and sharing of your name.

Another quick tip is to setup junk email account (think Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo) for doing requests like this just in case your email falls into the hands of a spammer.

The Christian Life Center of Washington County Needs Your Financial Support

The Christian Life Center of Washington County Needs Your Financial Support

Like so many things in our world today our economy is now impacting the Christian Life Center of Washington County.

The Christian Life Center of Washington County is a nonprofit food bank that provides food for the needy of Washington County.

The Christian Life Center has seen a major upswing in client traffic in the past year and now the Christian life center's cost for providing food is now out pacing the monitary donations that are being made to the center.

If you would like to make a donation the address is Christian Life Center of Washington County, PO Box 5057 Sandersville, GA 31082.

Also the Christian Life center is in need of heavy carpet runners so we can once again allow our clients to use our grocery carts to take their food items to their automobiles.

We would also like to thank our local Harvey's supermarket who were kind enough to donate the carts for the center's use.
