For Some, Happiness Can Come in a Cup

I admit: I love coffee. Maybe you do, too. So, I thought I'd assist all of our wallets with this little piece of information/happiness.

Today, May 6, starts Happy Hour at Starbucks.

That means from 3-5 p.m., you can get half-priced frappucinos.

The Happy Hour is daily through May 15.

Now that is what I classify as good news.

What did you do for the Royal Wedding?

What did you do for the Royal Wedding?

Did you wake up early and watch the Royal Wedding?

Tell us how you honored the historical event.

Did you make tea and British delicacies? Did you wake up and read the news and view pictures online? Wil you celebrate tonight?

Tell us here by commenting!

Shimmy Mob in Atlanta

"Sunday May 1st at 12pm Perry Bellydance along with belly dancers from all over Middle Georgia will be participating in a belly dance flash mob at Atlantic Station in Atlanta.  The Atlanta event is part of a much larger event in which dancers from all over the US, Canada as well as Vietnam and Italy will be doing the exact same choreography flash mob style to raise funds for Women and Children’s shelters. The choreography was provided by the coordinators of the event and depending on their location dancers have either learned the dance on their own or have gotten together with a participating instructor and learned with a group.

Saturday participating dancers from Perry, Macon and Warner Robins will gather at Perry Bellydance and join the other dancers from Middle Georgia and Tennessee with team leader Lacy Perry via skype to have one last practice and discuss logistics

Junior Journalist Auditions

Junior journalist auditions will take place today at the Galleria Mall in Centerville from 4-6 p.m.

The child auditioning must be born between August 1, 1998 and August 1, 2001. You must bring proof of date of birth to the audition.

The audition in Macon will take place Tuesday, April 5 from 4-6 p.m. in the Museum of Arts and Sciences.

The children will be scored on the spot during the first round of auditions. The top scoring 50 kids will be called back for a second round, where they will answer questions on camera. A panel of 13WMAZ employees will judge those auditions. The top scoring 25 kids will move on to a final round that will be judged by a community panel. We will not contact the children between rounds 2 and 3. We will surprise the winning children in their classrooms before school lets out for the summer.
